Girl Power is dedicated to promoting science and engineering for young women. 2011 marks our ninth year for Girl Power and we are very excited to be offering five weeks of the program this summer!

Details

For five weeks only, SCI-FI presents an experience exclusively for girls entering grades 5-9. This unique program has been developed to promote science and engineering to girls. Girl Power is an addition to our regular camp program. 

We're currently working on planning Girl Power for 2010. They will also stay overnight with female instructors in a hotel close to campus.  These nights will be the Wednesday and Thursday of the chosen week. Meals from supper on Wednesday to lunch on Friday will be included along with evening activities and outings. There is a maximum capacity of 20 girls for each week so register early!

In 2011, girls had the chance to tour Health Sciences and talk to some leading-edge researchers in engineering anatomy.  

Pricing

Girl Power Registration Fee ~ $75 (In addition to Camp Fees).

• Week 2 ~ July 11-15
• Week 3 ~ July 18-22
• Week 4 ~ July 25-29
• Week 6 ~ August 8-12
• Week 7 ~ August 15-19

Please Note: Girl Power is only offered in Saskatoon.
